After over a year of looking my mom finally found the perfect horse, and her and Hadley were both in heaven taking Hadleys first ride on him. Its been about 15 years since my mom's horse died and no horse has ever really been able to fill the hole she left us all with, but there are high hopes that Hank can bring back a love for horses that goes back generations. YEEHA!

I think I thought the day would never come that I would have to say good-bye to my Dear Nana Kay. But about two weeks ago she fell in the night a broke her hip, and with a severe stroke to follow she began to quickly let us know she would be leaving us very soon. I was able to share her last tender moments here, moments that I will charish forever. I don't know anyone who was more accepting and kind to everyone she knew. She loved all her grandkids and great grandkids unconditionally, which if you knew how many of us there were you know that that is a full time job. She is such an amazing example to me, and I am so greatful for a Savior who has provided us a way that we may all be together again. Til We Meet Again Nana.......Good Night Sweet Dreams I Love You!

My Brother and I were talking about the stress that Women, Mothers and Wives place on themselves today. Constantly comparing and critisizing themselves for there weaknesses. He gave me a Talk from the Ensign by Pres. Uchtdorf, underlining and placing stars next to things he felt special. Including this quote....

"May I invite you to rise to the great potentioal within you. But don't reach beyond your capacity. Don't set goals beyond your capacity to achieve. Don't feel guilty or dwell on thoughts of failure. Don't compare yourself with others. Do the best you can, and the Lord will provide the rest. What a Hunt...

I have the best brother and dad Ever! We had such a great time on this hunt. It will be one that I will remember forever. We headed out the day the hunt opened pulling an all nighter driving, hunting all day Seeing a ton of deer, but with high hopes for nothing smaller than a four point we passed up about 15 little bucks, and then went home empty handed in time for halloween, and then returning after the weekend. Our first day back the amount of deer we saw was less than half what we'd seen the previous weekend. Not to mention we hadn't even seen one of the little bucks i passed up. We woke up the next day all a little discouraged about the day before but still had high hopes we'd see something. About 8:45 am my dad catches a glimps of a buck up a hill. Zack and I quickly run up a hill to get closer and give us a better shot. I quickly get him in my scope and for a slight second get a look at his antlers before he hides his head behind a tree. With his head behind a tree and his body b/w another tree I take a split second to make my decision and pull the trigger. He takes a stumble in my scope and I hear zack yell "you got him" but only to look up and see him sprinting through the trees. After about 30-45 min. following a faint blood trail zig zagging up and down the little hills near by we were losing not only the trail but all hopes that i got him. My dad gave us the choice to keep looking or go back to hunting. Zack and I decided to spend five more minutes and then we would walk away. Soon after that not ten yards from where we'd been looking zack spots him laying on the side of the road. I got him! and was so glad we didn't geve up looking. We couldn't believe he was right in front of us and my dad had driven by him a couple times and i even walked just feet away from him. We always have fun on our hunts even when we aren't successful, but man is it great to drive home feeling that much better.

Pumpkin Carving. Who would've thought my husband would be so pationate about his pumpkin carving? We had a few couples over for a little halloween gathering and about half way through having to sit and just watch all the othere wives get to help with their pumpkins I decided to "barrow" hadleys little pumpkin from Shnepf Farms and do some carving of my own. We had a blast and the boys were so proud of their work. And I do have to say I was a little surprised and how good they ended up turning out! Who would have thought?

Zoo Day

I love this time of the year when I am reminded why I live in Arizona. Hadley is becoming quite the busy body. She loves animals, being outside and playing with her cousins. We went to the zoo and she had so much fun just being outside and running around.

Allen Family Reunion

So I figured its coming to my favorite part of the year and before I post on all the fun things that are to come I should catch my blog up on the last couple months, Starting with the Allen Family reunion.

You can always count on Aunt Debbie to plan such fun family reunions. Everything just seems to go so smoothly when she is incharge. We went out to her cabin in Coches, Az and learned all about are ancestry and history we have there. Grandad even gave all the grandkids and great grandkids Indian Name. Hadley was called "little red bow" i was given the name "Sparkling Brook" and Jason... well His is "still to come." We had a great time at Annies Apple farm where the kids got to pick apples and eat yummy apple pie. We had a Blast!

I'm just gonna take a minute and brag about my husband. He has been working so hard sense we have moved here for the summer to sell security systems. I am so proud of him and making all this happen at such late notice. He has really put his all into and done really well, especially concidering he got such a late start in the summer compared to the other guys in the office. But after a long summer, of 6 days a week, 10 hour days when you count comute time he finally took a day off to have a little fun.

He has been really wanting to go to Universal Studios and sense I had gotten an annual pass at the begining of the summer I would get in free which made that idea even better. So Lindsay offered to watch Hadley for the day and so the two of us were off to Hollywood. We had a blast just being able to do what we wanted and after a long day of rides, shows, and walking around we decided to finish off the day at Bucca Di Beppo which was absolutely delicious. I realised how important it is to make time for one another and get a baby sitter. I love Hadley more than anything, and even though she is so easy to take along, its definatly refreshing to be just the two of us every once in a while. Now I wish I had tons of pictures to post but about half way to the park I realised I forgot the Camera. So sad. But we took plenty of mental pictures and I guess that will have to do.

Emma & Anna Come to Visit-July 2009

Emma and Anna finally made it out to visit us. Grandad was able to drop them off and give us a great start for their fun little vaction. We started the week off at the beach where the girls had a blast riding the waves and playing in the sand. I'm pretty sure that was hadleys favorite part too. She loved having them here to play with her. Then later that week we headed out to Universal Studios where the girls and I had so much fun rididng the rides and touring the movie sets. The weather was great and it was so fun to get some one on one time with the girls. We finished off the week hitting up the alleys in LA where the girls got to get a little school shopping done. But like all good things the week came to an end and Grandad came to get the girls to head home. Hadley didn't not want to let go of her grandad and we both walked back to the apartment crying. Its been so fun being out here with Jason and all our new friends but there really is no place like home.

So the boys Took a trip to Vegas to see how the much better the sales would be out there. Deep Down I was hoping it would me betterand that the sales would come easier, but on the other hand I have really been enjoying California, and the beach, LA and just the awesome weather. So It was kinda a toss up of what I wanted to happen and fortunely its all worked out for the better. We had a fun little vacation to vegas for the 4th of July and then Came back to cali to stay and the boys have found better places to sale and do better here.

WARNING: So I've decided to make my blog into more of a Journal type record thing that at the end of the year I can have made into a book for family keeps sakes. So I apoligize for those that actually do take interest in our family blog because its likely to become a lot less interesting.

So this has been quite the crazy summer. Starting right after Memorial day Jason took off to California for an opportunity to make some money that would hopefully give him the chance to take on the amount of school he would like, as he has change his major to medicine. We are really excited about the opportunity and feel really good about the answers the we have recieved from the Lord.

Hadley and I met Jason in Cali about two weeks ago and have been having a lot of fun, visiting the beach, and hitting up the alleys in LA. But today we decided we would take a day off and i would remind Hadley once again who is "the boss." She has definately gotten a little off her day to day schedule that use to consist of a Morning swim at Nana and Grandads til about Noon, then she would have lunch and go down for a nap while I was able to get some sun and enjoy a little break from being a mom sitting out by the pool. But since getting here in cali her naps have been taken many times in the car on the go on our daily adventures to whatever. The girls we are with out here can't believe how good she is at just tagging along and being my little mini me. We do have so much fun and besides the little attitude she has enquired with me lately she really is so great to put up with all the stuff I wanna do.

Hadley has been chitter chattering so much lately. Sometimes she will go on and on have a conversation with me that makes no sense whats so ever. But I am convinced she honestly thinks she is talking real words and makes total sense in her own mind. She does say a lot though that makes sense. Book, Puppy, Bella, Sippie, blanky, bye bye, shoe, and one she will use a lot is she will come up to me and just simply say "hi" Its pretty cute. We usually go back a forth a few times just saying "hi" to each other. Oh, She has also always been obsessed with her shoes. Without fail every morning she will pick out the shoes she wants to wear that day and bring them to me and say "please" and insist that i put them on her right away, no matter what I am in the middle of doing. She is definatly growing up so fast and is pretty much my best friend and the thing that holds me together while we are out here in California away from everything we are accustomed to.

I have been terrible at taking pictures sense we got here but I will definately do better Starting...... Tomorrow!

That title has become famous words around the Allen house. Words said just minutes before my dad, AKA the Generator, took a long ride on down a trail that would end with a lot more strength in the family and stronger testimonies.

Now, over three years later, despite my moms pounding heart, he is back on the horse living the lesson he has always taught his kids growing up and now showing his grandkids that "when you get bucked off the horse you get back on."

So my mom has always had a theory about babies and horses. She has said with all six of her kids that she has put on a horse as early six months they either cried when you put them on or cried when you take them off and pretty much kept the same enthusiasm or lack their of from there on out. With that said i was quite interested in how hadley would react to her first horseback ride. Deep down hoping she would love it and also fearing she would hate it. .....that girl couldn't stop giggling and the faster i would have buddy go the more she loved it. One of the funnest things to see her do so far!

Tribute to Stoney

Sometimes i wonder if having pets is actually worth the pain of losing them. You know your not going to outlive them and there is going to come a time when you have to say goodbye. And man have i had my shares goodbyes in my life. People who have never had a pet they have been close to probably just think its crazy that i would get so attached but i have always just loved animals and so many have helped me get through some pretty tough times.

I just found out today that my brother bricks dog Stoney has some type of cancer and they will have to put him down in the next couple days. I know, its not even my dog right. But this dog was pretty special. After my brother was stabbed in his home they came to live with us while he continued to recover. Someone at his work gave him this dog that is know for its loyalty and the breed is from Africa where the royal families have them to protect them from intruders such and people or even lions. You could even say this breed is very lion like. They are huge! and when they get in there protective mode the hair on there back stands staight up just like a lions would. Well even tho this dog was the sweetest dog and never hurt a fly i cant tell you how many times after bricks incident i would let him in the house at night when i couldn't sleep or was scared and he would just make me feel all better just knowing he was there. Weird i know. But this dog really was huge. and they say that the best security system someone can have is a dog. This dogs was given to brick for one purpose. To bring comfort and protection and he definatly did that during the most nesissary and needed time. I'm greatful for the people who gave brick stoney. and am grateful for him as he got a lot of people through a dark and scary time of life.

Thats right everyone, I am updating my blog. So brace yourself for, well nothing all that special. So the last 10 days hadley and I have layed pretty low sense she has become one of the unfortunate babies of this glorious season. Yes, she has RSV. Luckily it hasn't been anything too serious. I keep waiting for to stop breathing or something, but serioulsy she hasn't even needed a breathing treatment and i think we are coming to the end of this whole ordeal. so cross your fingers. But here are some pictures of our happy little girl before this unfortunate sickness came and made her feel all sad and yucky.

I did hadleys announcment pictures so i thought hey i can do what these people are doing. So i gave it a shot. (no pun intended) and some actually turned out really good and i save 100 bucks. Its been over a month sense the my last post. I seem to be really good at posting and then I become a loser or something. Bottom line, I'm a slacker. Not much has happened lately. Hadley has finally got a tooth and is really close to crawling. I took her to the doctor today because I has suspision of an ear infection and low and behold i was right. So in a way I guess its nice to know that there is a reason for her grumpy, sadness lately and that it will soon all go away. I'll post more recent pictures soon.

Man am I bad at updating my blog. Well anyways, the other day my sister, mom and I went to walk around the mall. I say "walk" because I have to remind myself that I am going without any intentions of purchasing anything. I try to stay away from places like the mall all together that way there is absolutely no temptation, but Amber just really needed to get out of the house and Hadley and I had no plans that day. And I do have to say i did very well. I only caved and bought a Clutch bag on sale at Forever21 that I really needed that I could easily fit in my diaper bag and then take with me when I leave Hadley with anyone. We also managed to go into gymboree and i am proud to say i was very strong and walked away without purchasing a thing and just settled with a couple pictures.

Independence Day!

Sorry its been so long since I last blogged but life has been kinda crazy this summer and I promise to do better.

We've finally been able to get some use out of Hadleys adorable little bikini. She love to be in the pool. I'm pretty sure she just thinks its a big bath party, but either way its a lot of fun.

The Forth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays and this year was a lot of fun. All the Rohner family came over to my parents where we swam and had a yummy bbq. Our two families have always been close growing up so It was so fun to hang out and see everyone and their kids. We don't do it often enough.

This last week has probably been one of the most hardest and spiritual weeks of my life. I have never lost a grandparent before and I never could have imagined how hard it can be. This thursday We said goodbye to our beloved Nana (my moms Mother.) She has been sick off and on for the past few years but this time was just too much. She has been in so much pain and it is good to know that she is pain free now and with loved ones that have passed on before.

It is so hard to see someone you love pass away but I think the hardest part of all is seeing their sweetheart they left behind try to deal with probably one of the hardest things they have ever gone through. It was the sweetest thing to see my bompa (that is what we call my moms dad) as he sang love songs to her, held her hand, talk to her, and joke and laugh with her as she lay on her bed in a sleep that would have you think she was more on the other side then she actually was with us. But that didn't stop my Bompa from sweet talking her as if they were teenagers in love for the first time. But later That evening after my nana had gone and it was getting quite late and a lot of people had gone home, i had the opportunity to talk to my Bompa, just me and him. I have never had such a heart felt conversation with him. He was sitting in the rocking chair and i knelt down right in front of him so i could look him in the eyes. He told me how scared he was to be alone, to go to sleep that night without her there beside him. He told me how they would always sing a few primary songs, or hymns after they said their prayers and before they would fall asleep. My bompa is such a strong and spirtual man. It was so hard to see him hurting so much and all i could do was hold him and tell him how i would be praying for him all through the night, that he would have angels their to comfort him and hold him through the night so he could sleep. It was a moment that i will treasure forever.

I am so glad to know the truth. To know that families are forever and that we will see Nana again and she will be free of all her pain and cancer. She will be the Nana that we all remember and love so much. The gospel is amazing and i know that because of our savior we will live again for all eternity.

I am so thankful for such a wonderful husband. He does so much for me and i couldnt have asked for a better companion than him. It has been so much fun watching Jason become a dad. I couldn't have asked for better. He is so great with her and it is so much fun to see him with her especially when he thinks no one is looking, those are some of my favorite moments. Well this last week I went to Utah to help my Sister Amber pack up her house to get ready and finally come back home to Mesa after 12 very long years. We are so excited!! Anyways while we were there we decided to take Hadley to get her ears peiced. Lets just say it was the saddest thing I have ever done. I had to hold her perfectly still so the lady wouldn't mess up and just watch as they poked a hole in her ears. She only cried for seriously less than one minute, but it was probably the longest minute of my life. But when all was said and done and she looked so dang cute it was well worth it.

99. Jason likes my hair best when its curly, and I like it best when it is straight but I have learned to appreciate having curly hair more and more as I have gotten older.
100. Jason doesn’t know this, but almost every night I get up to double check all the doors to make sure the house is entirely locked up.

So for those of you who may have been concerned about Bella adapting well to having a new baby around and not being the "baby", if you will. Well, as you can see she is doing just fine. The other day I found that Bella had decided that the little bed I had made for Hadley looked quite Comfy and thought she might join her for a little nap.

This year for Easter Jason and I decided to do things a little differently. So Saturday night we went to walmart and Jason picked out a DVD and Candy that HE wanted for me, and I picked out a DVD and Candy that I wanted for Him. That was Sunday morning we could just switch baskets and were sure to get exactly what we both wanted. But i must say our best gift we got by far was our little Hadley Kay!

She is Finally here!! Hadley Kay Payne! Born March 15th @ 3:12pm weighing 7lbs 5oz. No words could ever describe the miracle a child is. It's hard to believe you can love someone so much after only knowing them such a short time. She has already been such a blessing to Jason and I. I think most of my days have been spent just staring at her and watching her sleep.
